Grade V: Science- Chapter 1: Matters

Goodmorning, today we will learn about matter. 

Learning objectives; 

By the end of the lesson, you will be able to; 

1. Define matter correctly. 
2. Write two examples of matter accurately. 
3. Learn three stages of matter correctly. 

 Definition: Matter is anything that has weight and occupies space. 

Example:  Table, phone house, pen 

Three stages of Matter

1. Solid: They have definite shape and definite volume.  All particles are closely packed together. 

2. Liquid: Have indefinite shape and definite volume. Particles are not closely packed together. 

3. Gas: Have indefinite shape and indefinite volume. Particles are far apart and move freely.
